The sauna tradition came to Nord-Lenangen many generations ago with Finnish and Kven settlers. Together with Sami and Norwegian traditions, it became part of everyday life along the coast – a place to warm up, gather and take a break after a day outdoors.
Our floating sauna continues that tradition in a new setting.
Relax in the warmth of a wood-fired sauna before taking a refreshing dip in the Arctic fjord. Large windows bring the surrounding landscape inside, giving you panoramic views of the mountains, the sea and the ever-changing Arctic light. Whether you visit beneath the midnight sun or during the Northern Lights season, the experience is shaped by nature outside.
The sauna accommodates up to eight guests and can be booked as a shared drop-in session or as a private experience for couples, families and groups of friends.
For your own safety, we recommend never bathing alone. If you feel unwell at any time, please leave the sauna and let a member of our staff know.
